This is the navigational metaphor for "RTFM," the first Enhanced CD by Poster Children (1995). We modelled a building and did a qtvr shoot inside it. The landscape outside the building is real (the University of Illinois Engineering Quad) and was integrated into the QTVR shoot using Photoshop. In the CD-ROM, walking through the different floors (using the elevator) and entering different rooms will bring up various interactive programs, tutorials and games.
