UIUC Visiting Art and Technology Integration Specialist.
In charge of creating a new digital gallery space in Krannert Art
Museum. Curating and programming works for CANVAS, a 3-walled 4D
open lab and art studio located in new gallery. Facilitate interdisciplinary
Art and Technology projects across and off campus. Maintain server
and act as webmaster for http://www.canvas.uiuc.edu.
Position funded by Beckman Center, Krannert Art Museum and School
of Art and Design; other tasks have ranged from giving art gallery
tours and helping with technological installations to creating syllabi
and teaching classes in Computer Programming for Artists.
UIUC Visiting Research Programmer. Data visualization
for a 3D Virtual World CAVE/CUBE environment and for smaller, more

in C++ and OpenGL. Also web application programming in Coldfusion,
Flash, Shockwave Lingo, ASP, PHP, mySQL, Microsoft Access, Perl,

UIUC Visiting Project Coordinator. Facilitated
interdisciplinary Arts and Technologies projects across the campus
of the University of Illinois. Oversaw, acted as technical director
or advisor, programmed and designed projects demonstrating increasing
penetration of technology into the work of the College of Fine and

Instructor. With a colleague, I developed and
taught a course at the University of Illinois entitled "Computer
Programming For Artists." Languages taught: Lingo, Actionscript,
Coldfusion, C++, OpenGL, Proce55ing, html. In 2005 I received a
Teaching Excellence by Graduate Student Award at
the University of Illinois.
Narrative Media Graduate Student. I will be receiving
my MFA in Narrative Media at UIUC in Spring 2005.

PROGRAMMING AND DESIGN PROJECTS
Landspeeder (above, 2005) - My virtual worlds work
at UIUC. Working under Urban Planning Professor Varkki George, I am
developing a 4-D data visualization of a large dataset for a 3-D Virtual
Reality CAVE/CUBE environment. A prototype started in VRML, then I ported
it to Macromedia Director Lingo, now I have ported it to C++ and OpenGL.

In The Garden Of Antiquities - Indianapolis Museum of Art /
Freer Sackler Gallery (2004) I did most of the design work

Design+Digital Rehearsal Studio (1999-2004) I designed
and programmed this website (flash, html, ASP) to promote the DDRS lab
at the University of Illinois. During the 3 years I was Visiting Project
Coordinator, I headed, programmed, or acted as technical advisor, for
more than 30 interdisciplinary Arts and Technologies projects across
the University. Highlights include "Leda And The Swan, An Immersive
Mythologica Event" - a digital video set to a 30-piece live orchestral
ensemble with live dance, "A Walk Along the Yamuna" CD-ROM
study of a project to redesign the landscape around the Taj Mahal...

Chicago Initiative Project CD-ROM (2004) Interdisciplinary
collaborative study of Chicago Technology / UIUC and City Of Chicago
Mayor's Council. In this class we studied several hi-tech/creative class
friendly cities, ran focus groups, visited and conducted interviews
to research what was needed in order to market Chicago as a New Tech
Industry city. The final output of our semester was a booklet, CD-ROM
and website. (In addition to researching, conducting focus groups and
interviews, I also programmed and designed the CD-ROM/Website. CD available
upon request - contains internal research information.)

12 eggs were created with Sculpey clay, inscribed with a website and

garden" - Champaign, Il airspeed is retrieved via random weather
